Which is really not that important, but the second one is, “Which one is it?”. Which is probably the most important one to answer because it’s not about the color, it’s about the type of paint you choose to install.

The problem is, the type of paint you choose to install can make all the difference between not getting painted at all and getting a truly great project. After you’ve decided what type of paint to use, the next step is to decide on the kind of surface you want to paint your home with. Most people tend to think of this as the surface that they want to paint with.

But its not clear this is the only possible way for the paint to reflect back into a surface. As a general rule, the darker the paint is, the more it reflects back into the surface. This can be a good thing or a bad thing. In my previous home, the kitchen and bath were painted a dark gray in my hopes it would be more reflective but I found that the paint had taken on such a dark color that it was almost more reflective than it had been.
So when I was looking for a paint color for my new home, what I really wanted was a color that was dark enough that the paint reflected back into the kitchen and bathroom surfaces, but I didn’t want it to be too dark (or as dark as I could make it).
