It’s like the “free ride” you get when you get a job and move to a new state.
This bill is a good thing because it keeps out the bad students. If people don’t want to live in one of these states, they should be able to move somewhere better where they are allowed to stay. The law also puts the burden of proof on people who are accused of cheating to show that they’re not lying.
If you do cheat, it is a crime to lie. And cheating is always wrong. But, most of the time, people just do it because they are in an abusive relationship or they have been bullied, and these acts are often seen as the cause. But the bill aims to put a stop to that. If you move to a new state, you need to go back to the university and get an apartment there.

This law is aimed at the colleges that are not recognized as places of higher learning by the state of Tennessee. Basically, it’s a legal requirement to provide proof that you do not live in the state of Tennessee.
For students here on campus, this is very much a concern. They need to be able to afford to live off campus, and that means proof that they are not living in the state of Tennessee. Of course, if you don’t live in TN, there’s no need to have an official TN college ID.
