I have an upcoming roundtable with the folks from the purdue industrial company here in town, and it’s going to be pretty informative. We’ll be talking about their new round of industrial roundtables and how they are going to be offering a roundtable for the year ’21. You can read about the announcement here.
The event is held each year in a different location. The latest was in the beautiful grounds of the old county courthouse on the west side of town, which is the same venue where the annual golf tournament is held.
The previous round was held at the historic Old courthouse, which is very appropriate, because it was the site where the state supreme court ruled that the railroad tracks, which cross the tracks of the North Carolina Central Railroad, were a public nuisance. In other words, the railroad decided that they didn’t have to pay the property taxes that were due, which is a big deal in this day and age.
This year’s event will be held in the historic Purduesen Industrial Roundabout. The Old Purduesen Industrial Roundabout is a former roundabout now used for storage. The roundabout is a place for people to park their cars, and a place where trains go through when they can’t go through the normal roundabout. The roundabout was the location where the state supreme court ruled that the railroad tracks were a public nuisance, meaning they had to pay to have their tracks removed.
So if we can get rid of the track for the Purduesen Industrial Roundabout, we’ll have eliminated the state supreme court.
The roundabout is basically a storage area for cars. So if we can get rid of them, well we eliminated the state supreme court.
As I’ve said before, the roundabout is a place where trains go when they cant go through the normal roundabout. But it also stores cars. So if we can get rid of the roundabout for the Purduesen Industrial Roundabout, well we eliminated the Purduesen Industrial Roundabout.
Of course, this roundabout is actually a state highway. So if we can stop it, well we eliminated the state supreme court, and the Purduesen Industrial Roundabout is now a state highway.
I wish I could say I have a better grasp of what this roundabout actually is, but I don’t. I just figured it was the roundabout that makes the roundabout.
