But after the Internet came along, the post office started to become less useful, especially if you lived in an advanced country like the US.
Mail-sorting, like sorting mail to the right address, is one of the most inefficient things that a post office is involved in. The post office is essentially a warehouse that takes the mail to the right address, but only the top few people in the country have a chance to get the mail. That means that you must sort through the mail to get to the right address, and if you don’t have the right address, you are screwed.

We don’t know why the mail is being sorted incorrectly, so it is better to just take all the mail, sort it, and send it to the correct place.
The problem is that when the mail is sorted incorrectly, it has an incorrect address for where it should go. The only way to correct this is to send all of the mail again, which is a waste of time and resources. If you have a mail center, you already know how to sort the mail correctly. But it is still frustrating to have a mail center not sorting all of the mail properly.
