I am so glad that I went to school in North Carolina. I love it here, and I love the outdoors here and I love living in the mountains.
But I’m also so glad that I’m not in college. I have no idea how I’d even get to college if I was in North Carolina. I think I would probably just go to college in Michigan and be a waitress just there.
Well, if you did go to college in North Carolina, you’d have to endure an 11 hour drive every day to get to campus. I think I would rather go to school in the middle of nowhere somewhere like Alaska or Peru.
The only way North Carolina feels like home is because it’s a college town, not a college town in the middle of nowhere. The best way to get through the 11 hours you have to drive to get to school, though, is to just stay at home.
That’s funny. I hate when people say it’s school and they get a bus ticket, but, of course, they don’t. You can’t go to the school and be a waitress and be the waitress, but you can go to the school that night. That’s a really boring experience.
I have a good friend who is a student at North Carolina College, and they are basically the only school in the entire state that actually has a dorm that could be called “campus.” But, since the school is situated in one of the most beautiful, quiet towns in North Carolina (especially in the spring and summer), I am told it can get crowded in the summer. Thats a good thing too, because it means there is one less place to spend my summers.
The good news is that livingstone’s dorm is very small and has lots of space to walk around, so it’s a great place to go for a quick visit. It is also one of the best parts of livingstone. The campus is divided into four quadrants, and these quadrants are so perfectly designed that you can move from class to class with ease. The main quad is just so big and spacious that you would think there are more buildings on campus than there actually are.
For a while, livingstone didn’t even have a decent cafeteria. This may change, but in the meantime, there is a nice cafe on campus (which I highly recommend) and it is so good that I am sure they will eventually build a new dining hall.
The campus is divided into four quadrants, each with its own distinct style, which is why you can move from class to class with ease. The main quad is just so big and spacious that you would think there are more buildings on campus than there actually are.
I like hanging out with my friends who are in college, because I feel like a complete stranger.
