I have always been a history buff. I have read most of that book and I’m convinced that this book is the real deal. The information is amazing and the writing is simply written and well-organized. I haven’t read the biography of Thomas More, the “barbaric” king, or the biography of Pope Urban VIII, but this book should definitely be required reading for every history buff and scholar.
There are so many excellent books that are just as good, if not better, than this one. The book has so much potential. It’s written in a way that will make you read the whole thing in one night, and then come back and read it again, each time a bit madder. It’s one of those books that will make you want to read it in bed with a cup of chamomile tea.
One of the reasons it is so good is because it has a very open and honest approach to the subject, unlike so many other books about the life of Pope Urban VIII. It never tries to gloss over the fact that Pope Urban VIII was a man of the Church who was hated by some of his own clergy and the people of Rome. It makes no attempt to make light of it.
Its not just that it is a very honest book, it makes it feel that way. There’s no “saying we’re all crazy” or “we’re all sinners” or “we’re all sinners so we’re all saints” or any of the other tired cliches. It tries to focus on what it is to be an adult and not a child.
What really makes it feel like a college student is the fact that Urban VIII was a man who was very wise and extremely humble and devout. It doesn’t try to make him look like a saint. It just makes it look like he came from a very humble background.
If you’ve seen the movie “college of the holy cross,” you know that it is an excellent movie that deals with the same issues as the book. The film (written and directed by David Fincher) deals with the same issues as the book. The film is really about a group of people who are all very different but all trying to find the truth, which is the only way to live life, which is the only way to be happy, which is the only place to be.

Not only does it pick up and continue, it does so in such a way that it makes you think you have been involved in the book. That’s because this movie does a great job of making you remember that you had a specific role in the book’s story.
