I like to think of ACT as more like the SAT than it is. But because of the focus on college readiness, there are minimum requirements. ACT requires you to take an ACT test that is a minimum of a 4.0. This is a little higher than the standard of the SAT, but you still have the basic test plus the essay portion. The ACT test is also one of the harder ACT tests to pass.
